Toolbox material, most i see ate 0.050"-0.080" thick this is 1/8" (0.125")
It fits under the tonneau, totally secure, fits at the back of the bed. With tailgate closed and locked, the leading edge of the lid, and the lock, are protected.
I can partially open it UNDER the tonneau (leaving tonneau shut) to grab a few quick things, or roll my cover back 18" to hinge the lid totally open.
My next step is a few extreme-duty drawer glides to slide it out over the tailgate.
It's just sitting in the rear of my bed right now until I have time to add some brackets. But I will add a set of brackets at the rear to latch it into, and another set at the front (with a standard short bed 6'4" it will fit in front of wheel wells, a 5'7" bed would not. My plan is to be able to move it to the front of the bed when needed, and it's low enough to clear the rolled-up tonneau up front, and low enough to roll an ATV up on top for hauling.

It's also important to choose a pouch or belt with multiple pockets or compartments to help keep your tools organized and easily accessible from https://www.ukplanettools.co.uk/workwear-and-ppe/tool-pouches-belts/ . When selecting a tool pouch or belt, consider the size of the pouch or belt and whether it will be able to hold all of the tools you need for your job. Additionally, look for features like reinforced bottoms, sturdy zippers or closures, and adjustable straps or belts to ensure a comfortable and secure fit.
