When does it actually make sense to use residential proxies?

I’m still not sure when people decide to switch to residential proxies instead of basic proxy setups. Is there a clear moment when it becomes necessary, or do people just upgrade randomly?

I didn’t really think about it much at first — I just used whatever was cheap and worked. But after a while, I started noticing that some tasks were fine, while longer sessions started getting unstable and annoying to manage.

Honestly, I only started looking for a better option after getting frustrated with unstable sessions during longer tasks. Cheap setups worked fine at first, but the moment I needed something more consistent, problems kept showing up. After switching to a residential proxy service, daily work became a lot less annoying because I wasn’t constantly reconnecting or checking whether everything was still running properly.
