Hello everyone, has anyone swum in Hurghada in December? I would like to know what the conditions are really like. I read that the swimming season in Egypt lasts all year round, but that there are sea winds in winter which spoil the experience. Has anyone been to Hurghada in December? What were your impressions? Was the water warm or cool for long swims?

I don't know about others, but I went last winter. Egypt generally has a year-round swimming season, even in winter, it's quite warm there. So, to answer your question, can you swim in Hurghada in December? I would say yes. However, it's essential to note that December is the start of the low season, so while the air temperature is pleasant, it's not hot, and it can be cooler in the evenings than you might expect. When I was there, the temperature reached 22–24 °C, which I found fine, but some people might not find it warm enough for swimming.
