I totally feel your struggle. We actually pulled the trigger on a massive sectional last year during a warehouse sale. My biggest advice is to use masking tape on your floor to map out the dimensions before you commit.
It’s amazing how much space these pieces actually take up once they are out of the showroom. That said, having enough room for everyone to sprawl out is a total game-changer for family time.
